April 2007 – Moose

Aaaahhhh, two fantastic days of bright blue sky and warm sunshine to help chase away the last remnants of winter.  What a great way to get psyched for summer.  Coming to sped a few days relaxing at the Moose is our favorite way to rejuvenate our souls after the long days of winter.  The trees are almost ready to burst forth with their brilliant display of glorious green after sleeping through the cold winter days. So peaceful and quiet here.  We’re looking forward to coming back in the Fall to enjoy the fabulous display of color.  Happy summer to all those who come to enjoy the Moose.

May 2007 – Ponca
Thanks again for having such a wonderful place to spend Mother’s Day weekend each year.  It’s a good thing the sign on the wall says Ponca is for pure relaxation cuz that’s all we do get done from the time we get here!  Our thoughts & prayers are still with you in Dick’s passing but we can still see him flipping pancakes at the pavilion.  Please keep up the good work and God bless you all!  See you in August.

May 2007 – Den
We enjoyed our stay (once again).  We loved the ceramics we made.  Thank you for having such a well-kept campground.  The weather was pretty good.  Rained a little but enough sunshine for a great weekend.  We’ll be back again!

June 2007 – PuebloThis was a surprise camping trip for my husband’s birthday.  Mary was wonderful helping me with this.  She selected a wonderful cabin and location.  It’s so romantic!!  Mary’s little dog was a cute welcoming committee!

July 2007 – Cheyenne
Sara, Anna, their Mom, 2 Aunts, 2 Uncles and 7 cousins had an awesome tine here.  We hiked, swam in the pond, found frogs and toads, road bikes, got treats at the store, cooked terrific meals and had cozy campfires.  We really enjoyed all having cabins close together and being on the creek.  We liked the added touch of the clean bathmats at the showers and bathrooms – beautiful facilities.  We can’t wait to return next year.

Thank you so much for what you did for us!  We had a good time here.  Hope that when we come to see Hazel, we’ll also see you.  You definitely fit in with the family such that it is!

July 2007 – Chickasaw
Our third stay at Evergreen Trails and our third cabin.  Although I requested the wrong cabin, we decided this us our favorite so far.  Not much traffic – foot or motor vehicle.  Like having the bedroom separate.  Had a good variety of weather.  Nice place to be when the temperature was in the high 90’s – not to mention the humidity.  Had many nice campfires.  Even had a raccoon join us for a “drink.”  Week went by fast.  Now back to the real world.  Thanks for a great relaxing getaway.

August 2007 – Coyote
We are finishing our weekend stay – it has been lovely and just a little too short!  We would love to return and perhaps stay for a week.  The creek was mostly dry, but we enjoyed the hiking and exploring,.  A perfect place for our kids to try out camping… no owl sightings, but a family of deer by the bathhouse delighted the kids.  Thank you to Mary and all the hard-working staff.

August 2007 – Crow
We love it here!! I hope we come back many, many times.  The cabin was so cute and everything was nice & clean.  This is a very peaceful place too!  This was Xander’s first camping trip and he loved it!  He had so much hiking and sniffing everything.  This will probably be Zoe’s last camping trip.  She’s almost 13 and has cancer.  It was so nice to see her so happy.  She loved just sniffing the air and watching the other campers.  I’ll always remember this weekend.  What a great place to bring dogs.

August 2007 – Cayuga
Hi Mary.  This was our second stay at Cayuga.  Our first stay was 2 years ago and only for a weekend; this time we stayed 5 evenings and loved every minute of it.  The only disappointment was that our son Alex was not able to catch a fish, but our puppy loved it; so much to explore.  We heard chipmunks, owls, blue jays and some animal visiting in the wee hours of the morning we have yet to identify.  Cayuga has lived up to its reputation of being “pure relaxation” and Evergreen Trails is a pleasant and friendly place.  We look forward to our next visit, hopefully next year.  Thanks for a great time!

September 2007 – Seneca
Thank you, thank you!! Another wonderful family vacation at Evergreen Trails.  Just the getaway we needed.  Hiking, fishing, campfires, s’mores… tons of fun.  We saw lots of deer this year.  Thank you for offering such a wonderful and affordable place for families to go and enjoy being together.  Also a wonderful week of no TV, X-box, I-pods or radios – yea!!!  It’s worth every one of the 300 miles we travel to get here.

September 2007 – Oneida
This is our 5th year.  We come here to Evergreen Trails 2 or 3 times each year.  This is our 6th different cabin we have stayed in.  All are wonderful.  So much peace, quiet and serenity here.  We were today in Oneida with 3 other friends.  All had a wonderful time.  We’ll be back next year.  Thanks, Mary, for a great getaway.

October 2007 – Pawnee
What a wonderful weekend.  Every day was warm and fun-filled.  We hiked the Orange Trail and tried to find arrowheads along the way.  We were unsuccessful, but we had fun anyway.  On our last night, we heard coyotes calling to each other in the distance.  It was a magnificent chorus.  Of course, Pawnee made it extra special.  This is our third year in Pawnee and we love it to bit!

October 2007 – Long House
We had an awesome time.  We needed wild horses to pull us away!  Loved it!  We’ll be back.  That’s a guarantee!
